Crash The Chatterbox: Fear

Crash the Chatterbox
Week 3: Fear

2 Timothy 1:7(NLT)
…God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Psalms 111:10(NIV)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom…

1 John 4:18(NIV)
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

We can overcome the lies of fear,
with the promises of God, when He says, “I WILL!”

1 Samuel 17:45 – 47 (NLT)
45David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46Today the LORD will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! 47And everyone assembled here will know that the LORD rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the LORD’s battle, and he will give you to us!

Matthew 10:28(TMSG)
“Don’t be bluffed into silence by the threats of bullies. There’s nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life—body and soul—in his hands.

Seven things can happen when we live in fear:
1. Experience lack of enthusiasm
2. We have unfocused thoughts
3. Fear can keep us from interacting with others
4. Fear and keep us from getting anything done
5. Fear eventually turns into ungodly behavior
6. Fear causes health problems
7. Fear chips away at our intimacy with God

2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline”

The Bible Story Tells Us How To Handle Fear:
1. Face it
2. Remember your past victories over fear

1 Samuel 17:34 – 36 (TMSG)
34David said, “I’ve been a shepherd, tending sheep for my father. Whenever a lion or bear came and took a lamb from the flock, 35I’d go after it, knock it down, and rescue the lamb. If it turned on me, I’d grab it by the throat, wring its neck, and kill it. 36Lion or bear, it made no difference—I killed it. And I’ll do the same to this Philistine pig who is taunting the troops of God-Alive.

3. Know how to fight fear

1 Samuel 17:38 – 40 (TMSG)
38Then Saul outfitted David as a soldier in armor. He put his bronze helmet on his head and belted his sword on him over the armor. 39David tried to walk but he could hardly budge. David told Saul, “I can’t even move with all this stuff on me. I’m not used to this.” And he took it all off. 40Then David took his shepherd’s staff, selected five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in the pocket of his shepherd’s pack, and with his sling in his hand approached Goliath.

Verse 45 (TMSG) 45David answered, “You come at me with sword and spear and battle-ax. I come at you in the name of God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel’s troops, whom you curse and mock.

Philippians 2:9 – 11 (NIV)
9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

4. Move forward with a shout

1 Samuel 17:52 (TMSG)
The men of Israel and Judah were up on their feet, shouting!

Crash the Chatterbox: Insecurity

Crash the Chatterbox
Week 2: Insecurity

Psalms 139:14(NASB)
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

1 Peter 2:9-10(NIV)
9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

What does God mean when He defines Himself by saying “I Am Who I Am”?
1. I exist
2. I have no beginning
3. I do not change

James 1:17(NIV)
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

4. I am an unlimited source of energy

Isaiah 40:28(NLT)
Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary…

5. I am who I am regardless of your opinions of Me

6. I have come near to you through My Son.

John 8:56-58(NLT)
56Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad.” 57The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?” 58Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!”

Crashing the chatterbox is about learning to say things like this—out loud—daily:
God says…

I am His masterpiece
I am His workmanship
I am established
I am sealed with His promise
I am redeemed.

So with that, how do we spot a secure person who is NOT listening to the lies and the Chatter?
1. Secure people don’t always have to be the smartest person in the room.
2. Secure people trust God for a promotion.
3. Secure people are steady in the face of criticism.

The Voices We Respond To

The Voices We Respond To

Who’s Voice Do We Listen To?

God has given to us the ability to choose the voices we believe in and respond to.

The voices we give credibility to in our lives will determine whether or not we fulfill our calling.

Learning how to deal with the various thoughts that come our way is vital to our destiny and the most important battle we will fight.

Charles Spurgeon once said, “Beware of no man more than yourself; we carry our worst enemies with us.”

When we listen to the voice of God, we gain life, but when we listen to the wrong voices, we allow our destiny to be lost.

Every 35 days, your skin replaces itself and your body makes new cells from the food you eat. What you eat literally becomes YOU.

Someone said, “If it’s true that you are what you eat, then I’m guessing you had a helping of jealousy, followed up with a dish of envy, a side of insecurity, two scoops of envy, and washed it down with Haterade. And from the looks of it, I see you’re still hungry.

John 10:14(NLT)
“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,

John 10:27(NLT)
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Proverbs 3:5-6(NLT)
5Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

James 1:21(NLT)
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

Is there a lie in your head that somehow you’ve decided to believe until it’s now defining you?

1 John 2:15-17(NLT)
15Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Watch Out for the Bandit

August 18, 2014, 11:14 am

Watch out for the Bandit!
John 10:10 Romans 14:17

Colossians 2:13-15
“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”

• Fear of death…of failure…of tomorrow…of God…even fears you can’t identify!
• Doubt God…His Word…Your security in Him!
• Worry over things that are out of you control, beyond your scope of ability and all the “what if’s and maybe’s.”
• Weariness from doing good, serving and standing in faith.
• Hopelessness that things will never change or get better.

He manipulates you with the mysterious and taunts you with the unknown
No matter what kind of fear the enemy sends your way, it’s always designed to
make you run; to see opportunity as vulnerability and risk, and as a result, fail to
enjoy the life God created you to live.

Righteousness is the believers standing before God.
• 2 Corinthians 5:21
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”
• Ephesians 6:14
“…Put on the breastplate of righteousness…”
• Philippians 3:7-11
“But what things were gain to me, these I have counted
loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead”

If the “bandit” can rob you of your identity in Christ, he can neutralize and
paralyze your forward movement in all God’s called you to be and do!

There are always two “bandits” that steals your peace – yesterday and tomorrow. Jesus said, “Don’t worry about tomorrow” (Matthew 6:34).
WHY? Because He knew you’d have enough to handle today!

God won’t give you grace for tomorrow until tomorrow comes.
• Do you ever have an attack of the “what if’s?”
o What if the market doesn’t bounce back? o What if the medicine doesn’t work?
o What if I don’t get well?
o What if the check or job doesn’t come through?
o What if? What if? What if?
• Look out, you’re about to be dragged off into worry!

The other area, in which we get into trouble, is living in the regrets of yesterday.
• Everybody makes mistakes – even those we think are so great and never make mistakes.
• “Every man shall bear his own burden” (Galatians 6:5). We each have our own little load of oppressive faults and struggles that we must work through.
• We all say and do things we wish we hadn’t said or done.
• So what can one do? “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence
of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).
• Sin has to do with our past, what we’ve done. Give it to God, change and move on!
If the “bandit” can steal your “peace” he can keep you locked up in worry, fear and doubt…But if you live in peace, the “bandit” can’t stop you.
Peace is a weapon to be used on worry, fear and doubt. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

“Joy” is gladness of heart!
• “A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken” (Proverbs 15:13).
• “All the days of the afflicted are evil, but he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast” (Proverbs 15:15).
• “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones”
(Proverbs 17:22).
“The joy of the Lord is your strength…” (Nehemiah 8:10)
• The “bandit” is after our strength.
• If he can destroy our “strength” he can steal our “joy” which is where we get our “strength” from.
Romans 14:17 “The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”

2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

The Sin of Blasphemy of The Holy Spirit

Genesis 6:3(NLT)
Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh…”

Judges 16:20(NLT)
Then she cried out, “Samson! The Philistines have come to capture you!” When he woke up, he thought, “I will do as before and shake myself free.” But he didn’t realize the LORD had left him.

1 Corinthians 5:1-5(NLT)
1I can hardly believe the report about the sexual immorality going on among you—something that even pagans don’t do. I am told that a man in your church is living in sin with his stepmother. 2You are so proud of yourselves, but you should be mourning in sorrow and shame. And you should remove this man from your fellowship. 3Even though I am not with you in person, I am with you in the Spirit. And as though I were there, I have already passed judgment on this man 4in the name of the Lord Jesus. You must call a meeting of the church. I will be present with you in spirit, and so will the power of our Lord Jesus. 5Then you must throw this man out and hand him over to Satan so that his sinful nature will be destroyed and he himself will be saved on the day the Lord returns.

2 Corinthians 2:6-8(NLT)
6Most of you opposed him, and that was punishment enough. 7Now, however, it is time to forgive and comfort him. Otherwise he may be overcome by discouragement. 8So I urge you now to reaffirm your love for him.

1 Samuel 16:14(NLT)
Now the Spirit of the LORD had left Saul, and the LORD sent a tormenting spirit that filled him with depression and fear.

Matthew 12:31-32(NLT)
31“Every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

Mark 3:28-30(NLT)
28“I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven, 29but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.” 30He told them this because they were saying, “He’s possessed by an evil spirit.”

Luke 12:10(NLT)
Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

H 6:4-6(NLT)
4For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— 6and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

John 6:37(NLT)
However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

James 1:14-15(NLT)
14Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

Discover: The Jealous Desire of the Holy Spirit

The Jealous Desire of the Holy Spirit

James 4:1-5(NASB)
1What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? 2You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”?

The word “desire” in itself is NOT a bad word in the Bible. It simply means that it’s something we want desperately.

Philippians 3:10(NASB)
That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings…

The Holy Spirit that dwells within us has a great desire to have something that someone else has that is rightly His.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20(NASB)
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

The Holy Spirit says: I want what is mine. Those are my ears, but somebody else has them. That’s my tongue, but it’s speaking something else.

John 14:1-3(NASB)
1“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

John 14:18(NASB)
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

John 14:16(NASB)
“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (or Comforter), that He may be with you forever;

Romans 8:11(NASB)
…He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Romans 8:13(NASB)
For if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Galatians 5:16(NASB)
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

Romans 8:26(NASB)
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;

To Serve With Love

July 13, 2014, 10:39 am

Matthew 20:20-28 (NLT)

20 Then the mother of James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus with her sons. She knelt respectfully to ask a favor.21 “What is your request?” he asked.
She replied, “In your Kingdom, please let my two sons sit in places of honor next to you, one on your right and the other on your left.”
22 But Jesus answered by saying to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink from the bitter cup of suffering I am about to drink?”
“Oh yes,” they replied, “we are able!”
23 Jesus told them, “You will indeed drink from my bitter cup. But I have no right to say who will sit on my right or my left. My Father has prepared those places for the ones he has chosen.”
24 When the ten other disciples heard what James and John had asked, they were indignant. 25 But Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. 26 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. 28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Philippians 2:5-8 (NLT)
5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.6 Though he was God,[a] he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges[b];he took the humble position of a slave[c]
and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,[d] he humbled himself in obedience to Godand died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Service and Sacrifice are two essential elements of Godly Reconciliation!

True Servanthood is CHRISTLIKENESS!!!

Exodus 21:1-6
1“These are the regulations you must present to Israel.
2 “If you buy a Hebrew slave, he may serve for no more than six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. 3 If he was single when he became your slave, he shall leave single. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife must be freed with him.
4 “If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave and they had sons or daughters, then only the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. 5 But the slave may declare, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children. I don’t want to go free.’ 6 If he does this, his master must present him before God.[a] Then his master must take him to the door or doorpost and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will serve his master for life.”

God’s looking for servants that are: MORE IN LOVE WITH THEIR MISSION THAN THEIR POSITION

Phil 2:6-7 (NLT)
“Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage;
7 rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

Luke 22:25-26 (NLT)
24 A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. 25 Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors.”

Luke 22:27 (NLT)
“For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.”

Romans 8:29-30 (NLT)
29 “For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn[a] among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.”

We CANNOT become more like Jesus unless we LEARN to become a SERVANT!!!

6Things to notice a shift in culture:
· The overall attitude of volunteers will change immensely.
· There will be a humongous decrease in unproductive-negative chatter.
· There will become more practical solutions of how to get involved.
· The strategies for leader selection will adjust.
· There will be more appreciation for servanthood itself
· There will become “MORE PEOPLE FOR THE KINGDOM!”

Ezekiel 47:1-9 (NLT)
47 Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side.
3 And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. 4 Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the watercame up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist. 5 Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed. 6 He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen this?” Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river.
7 When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other. 8 Then he said to me: “This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.9 And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes. “
John 7:37-38 (NLT) 37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

“The Enemies of the Christian”

Romans 12:1(NASB)
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

Man is a three-fold being—spirit, soul and body

The body is what we see with our physical eyes
The soul is what identifies us from someone else
The spirit is what enables us to have a relationship with Father God

The three enemies of these three parts of man are the flesh, the world and the devil

The flesh attacks the body
The world fights the soul
The enemy of the spirit is the devil

But God wants our bodies to be presented to God as a living and holy sacrifice

Romans 12:1(NASB)
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

Someone said to me: What’s the best way to quit cussing? Answer: The best way is to stop cussing now and always.

Someone said: How can I always tell the truth? Answer: Always tell the truth from now on.

2 Chronicles 7:14(NLT)
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves…

Humility doesn’t come by just praying for it. Humility comes when we humble ourselves before God.

2 Chronicles 7:14(NLT)
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

2 Timothy 2:22(NLT)
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

The word to defeat the flesh is what? Flee!

1 Cor. 6:18 says to flee fornication.

1 Peter 2:11 says to abstain from evil. The word abstain means to get away from evil.

1 John 5:4(NLT)
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

If we’re going to defeat the world, we’ve got to live in God’s Word

We cannot live inside the pages of the Bible except by daily walking out the life of Christ

James 4:7(NASB)
Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

How do we resist the devil? Submit to God

Does the body resist the flesh? The answer is NO! The body must flee

Does the soul resist the world? NO! The soul uses the weapon of faith, the Word of God

Does the Spirit resist the devil. Yes, the devil is the enemy of the spirit and we resist him by submitting ourselves to the Lord

Lord, I will run from temptation
Lord, I will get into Your Word and Faith will come
Lord, I will resist the devil by submitting myself to You

Discover: The Holy Spirit Our Prayer Partner

The Holy Spirit, Our Prayer Partner

Romans 8:26-28(NASB)
26In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:26-27(NASB)
26In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:26-27(NLT)
26And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

Here are a few things to note:

1. We do NOT know what we need

Matthew 18:19(NLT)
“I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.

2. The Holy Spirit knows what we need

3. After we talk about it, the Holy Spirit then goes with us and makes intercession to the Father and pleads our cause

Psalms 37:4(NLT)
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires.

4. When we get in tune with the Holy Spirit and go to God with the Holy Spirit, God then gives us the desires of our heart

What does it mean when people say they are praying in the Spirit?

Matthew 18:19(NLT)
“I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.

That little word “Agree” in the Greek means symphonize, which also means harmonize.

Who are we going to harmonize with? The answer is the Holy Spirit.

Acts 15:28(NASB)
“For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials:

When we talk to somebody who needs the Lord, what does the Holy Spirit do?

The Holy Spirit is harmonizing with the Word of God to our family and friends and drawing them to God the Father.

Romans 8:27(NASB)
and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

The word intercede in Romans 8:27 is a completely different Word than the one used in verse 26.

The Word intercession here means that the Holy Spirit tells God what we forgot to tell Him.

If we feel like we cannot talk to God in English, we can talk to Him in tongues.

Romans 8:28(NASB)
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

How does Rom. 8:28 start? It starts with the word AND.

We cannot understand Rom. 8:28 until we understand Rom. 8:26-27.
